I’m so happy to FINALLY be sharing our master bathroom design photos with you! This was a very time-consuming project and had many delays due to COVID. If you guys know me I’ve never done a renovation project before just little upgrades here or there. So taking this on while 7 months pregnant was a challenge. Not gonna lie it was stressful, and took a bunch of coordinating on my part, but it is really nice to see something go from nothing to something. Here is my inspiration board and I would say the bathroom turned out pretty darn close
We started by ripping out the flooring, old vanity, shower, and weird siding on the wall. Gosh, I love demo days! We also had to re-center the toilet because as you can see from the pictures it was off-center. Once the flooring was laid we were able to get to work.
The Vanity we went with was the Cape Cod 60″ Double Bathroom Vanity Set from Wayfair. It gave us two sinks and the white/ light look I was wanted for the room. Next, for lighting, I partnered with Shades of Light and picked out these aged brass Sensational Zig Zag lights. I personally think these lights make the entire bathroom, they are super unique with the chevron glass shades. The silver fixtures/ knobs on the vanity had to go, so I changed them to these Brainered Industrial champagne bronze knobs from Lowes to warm up the look. And the silver faucets were removed and replaced with the Black Trustmi 2 Handle faucet from Amazon. Then to tie everything together I added a few touches like a gold-framed canvas from Studio Mcgee and baskets under the vanity for storage.
Taking on a shower renovation was something I was not prepared for— there are so many decisions that you need to make. From the tile to the door and grout– it was a lot. I knew I wanted a black & white and shower. So once I found my Pinterest inspo I decided on white subway tile, charcoal grout, and black circle penny tile from Floor and Decor.
If you have done a bathroom renovation you know shower systems can be super expensive so found this TRUSTMI Shower System on Amazon ( affordable). It is matte black and has a with 10-Inch rainfall head with a handheld wand. Such a great find and I totally recommend it if you are looking for a shower system. And then for the finishing touches, I hate a cluttered shower so I added fun glass shampoo/conditioner bottles from the Polished Jar.
Not gonna lie my bathroom has now become one of my favorite places to shoot IG posts. Everything came together perfectly and I tagged everything I used. One problem I came across when looking at other blogger’s bathroom renovation blog posts— they would tag products they didn’t use. So for example– working with golds in your bathroom can be tough. You have bright golds, yellow gold, aged bronze, champagne bronze, so if your lights are champagne bronze you better find faucets and knobs in the same tone. TRUST ME– it was a problem for us. So I promise all the products/colors I have tagged blend and work perfectly together!
Thanks for stopping by and look out for another bathroom renovation post coming soon– I am tackling the kid’s bathroom!
